In order to assure that your SwiftLink™ system operates at peak performance, you need to be aware of certain system requirements. If you have any doubts about how to check your current system, or need clarification on the requirements listed below, feel free to contact our Sales/Support Team.

Recommended System Requirements

Windows® 7 O/S:
  • 4GB RAM Memory
  • Large Hard Drive (You should have at least 10% of free space)
  • Optical Drive
  • 1GHZ or faster processor
Windows® Vista O/S:
  • Same as above with 2GB RAM Memory or more.
Windows® Home or Pro XP O/S:
  • Same as above with 1GB RAM Memory or more.
Windows® 2000 Server, Server 2003 or Server 2008 O/S:
  • Same as above with 4GB RAM Memory.

Minimum System Requirements

Windows® 7 O/S:
  • Same as above with 2GB RAM Memory.
Windows® Vista O/S:
  • Same as above with 1GB RAM Memory.
Windows® XP Home or Pro O/S:
  • Same as above with 1GB RAM Memory.
Windows® 2000 Server, Server 2003 or Server 2008 O/S:
  • Same as above with 1GB RAM Memory.
Peer-to-Peer File Server (Server is used as a workstation):

The recommended maximum number of users in a Peer-to-Peer environment is five (5) (4 + the File Server). Same as above with RAM Memory requirements for the Peer-to-Peer Server as follows:

Windows® Vista: 2GB RAM 1GB RAM
Windows® XP Pro: 1+GB RAM 1GB RAM
Windows® Server: 4GB RAM 1GB RAM

Dedicated File Server (Server is not used as a workstation):

If you need more than five (5) workstations, you should have a Dedicated File Server. The file server should have a current Pentium™ processor with 2+GB of RAM Memory. We recommend Windows® Server 2003 O/S or Windows® Server 2008.
